Our final stop in Jacksonville was Station 56 at Cecil Airport, a former Naval Air Station converted into a public-use facility.  Unlike Station 16, we were welcomed with open arms.

This rig was parked near the station and is one of two apparatus owned by a JFD Firefighter.  HireAFireTruck.com is a company that provides a fire engine for special events.  This one was once owned by a "Lone Oak VFD", but that's all we could find out.

Thanks to the "eagle eyes" of Mark Carr, we managed to locate the same guy's other rig, parked inside a fenced lot a few blocks away from Station 56.  We attempted to shoot through and over the fence, but those didn't come out too well.  Then a Florida Forestry transporter passed us and into a gate that we had not seen on the other side of a building.  We asked the driver if we could shoot the pumper and he said okay.

From there we went to Orange Park.  Their front line rigs are really sharp, wish we'd had a sunny day.....

The next day was sunny and we headed northeast from Ron's house toward Palatka.  On the way, we caught this one at a Walmart.

Thanks, Mike!  I figured that you would have that number.  The date on the Reg. tag said 1978, which I knew was incorrect, but it definitely has a 1250 pump.  Wasn't sure about the tank, but it was small.
