This past week I went home to pay my respect to my best friend's co-worker and fellow fire fighter that passed away due to a recent battle with cancer on the way down and after the funeral I made a few stops in georgia and the central florida area.

Caught the A few of the new Pierce Velocities that Polk County Fire Rescue ordered

Also caught both of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue's New E\-One Typhoons this is Engine 6

Good photos!

tHANKs

Polk County Fire Rescue's New Tender ordered 3 identical to this.

I like the old Hillsborough scheme much better. Contrary to belief recently, Black isn't always better! What's stored in the compartment in the back of the cab of the tanker?

Trav!

Nice Photos Jason...Welcome to Firepics!
I believe it's the Engineer's gear. didn't open the compartment's my apologies, The Engineer did say that if the station this truck is assigned to had a frontline engine go down they would use the Tender but only the Station it's housed at.

caught this new Global Striker at Space Coast regional Airport

Statesboro, Georgia just recieved this new Pierce Velocity Tower

Travelled to Alabama this last week to take advantage of some of the good weather to catch this gem.

Got out this weekend went to the Metro-Atlanta area and caught this New Rosenbauer delivered to Newton County, Georgia as well as watched the Braves/Nationals game friday night

Ventured out to Greenville County to get the new KME 79' Quint delivered to South Greenville Fire District, it was out of service but caught a few units and took advantage of the good weather on hand. This is Engine 2

Rescue 1

Platform 1

Engine 7

After the few rigs in Greenville County I headed back home and stopped off at Anderson County Fire Department, Wren Volunteer Fire Department Station 24. They are due to recieve a new IHC/Eone this coming month that is part of a 5 rig order. The newest rig in their fleet is Engine 24-1

Rescue 24, was purchased about 2 years ago from Everett Fire Company in Pennsylvania where it ran as Rescue 32-42

There's something about "new" and "it was out of service" that just doesn't seem right

Doh Banghead

Sounds worse than it was they took delivery with a few paint blemishes and discrepancies (ie: Fisheyes, dings) KME and Safe industries agreed with SGFD taking delivery and fixing after it was in service and a reserve could be placed at the newly opened Station 8
