Does anybody have pics of the Former Wakefield E1 and E2 the Mack CF before they had 4 dr enclosures put on. As well as the Maxim Tiller and Engine? Thanks
In need of some info. This photo was taken by EMS 12, I am pretty sure, and all I know is it has West Lebanon, Indiana County on the door. Does anyone have any specs on it?
Hey firepixers! I was looking around at the recent fires on here tonight and i figured i should post since its been awhile.. I got luck with this job a few days back! I worked monday night so i got tuesday night off. Anyways, my buddy calls me and says he has some photography books for me and that he is down the our bar. So i make it down and get the books and order a drink. about 1/4 of the way through said drink, H&L 3(quartered on the wedged-end of Christy Park ) gets dumped as the bar lights up it the new led red, white, and blue! $1 Pucker shots! Anyways, i decided it was a good a time as any to put those books in my truck. i sat down and listened to my scanner and heard Truck 35 responding from quarters. so i deceided to drive up the way H&L 3 had went up Delor ave. H&L 3A then reported "on the scene of a 1-story frame heavy smoke and fire showing, gimme the 1st alarm!" The first block up Delor is Ridgewood ave. I looked left down Ridgewood ave. and just two words came to mind... HOLY S***!!! If i would have came outside and looked up and to the left in the parking lot i would have said the same thing and parked in a better area. Kinda funny how things play out like that sometimes! Anyways, enough of my blabbing! Let get to some FIRE!!!!
At first the only visible fire was the rear and side windows on both sides B and D. my camera battery fell out of my bag on the way so i had to retrieve it. I missed the flashover..
The good news is that Photo #2 was used on Fox 2, Kmox, STLtoday.com, and had to tell a few friends that im not famous!

Fire units responded to a reported fire in the building at 200 Helen Street early this morning. Central dispatch was receiving numerous 911 calls reporting a structure fire at that location. A working fire was very evident upon leaving the firehouse as a large smoke cloud was visible. Arriving units were greated with a heavy smoke condition which almost completely obstructed Helen Street. A second alarm was transmitted along with a special request for an additional truck. Command was established and Engine 6 and Truck 7 went to work immediately on a body of fire on the roof level. Inspection of the structure revealed that no fire had as of yet entered the interior of the building. Truck 7 setup on the Helen Street side and put their master stream into operation. The stream was affected by a 35 mile per hour wind which was pushing the fire along the roof and the solar panel field. A 2 1/2 inch attack line was stretched to the interior of the building as a precaution. Two additional truck companies were put to work due to the extended amout of overhaul on the roof deck. All searches were negative. Fire command placed the fire under control and companies were released around 12 noon. This fire occured in the solar panel field located on half of the roof of the 2.2 million square foot warehouse. The Bureau of Fire Prevention will be investigating. Chief Scalera in command.
Engine 2-1 was loaded on a flat bed tractor trailer yesterday for West, Texas. It is a really clean piece of apparatus. I always enjoyed seeing the rig on calls when running mutual aid with them. What an awesome gesture by Berwyn Fire Company.
