Introduced at FDIC:

Looks to have a very short wheelbase with plenty of compartment space. I see this being a very popular product.

  Firepics Databases

I have been able to design databases for the Apparatus and Station Locations that were part of the proprietary IP.Board software.  I have not been able to import the data, so it looks like we'll be building from scratch....although I will try to bring data over manually as I find time.  The Department Roster Database will be a little more challenging, but I think I can figure it out with a little more time.

I am extremely happy with both, but the station location database is much more robust than the previous version, with an interactive map.

A redirect has been placed under "Firepics Interactive" that will bring you to the database Home page.

I am not sure if there will be bugs, but the best way to find out is to check it out.  Please leave feedback in this thread.

Firepics Online Databases

I entered 88 records in the Station Location Database from Boston, Providence, my Hometown of Medford, MA, my current town of Attleboro, MA and Division 1 of the FDNY so you can see the scaleabilty.

  Flickr Bought By SmugMug

As a long time Flickr user with thousands of my photos on the site, I'm excited about this. I was worried it would have been killed off when Yahoo was sold to Verizon. I hope SmugMug keeps their promises.

Exclusive: Flickr bought by SmugMug, which vows to revitalize the photo service

SmugMug's deal for Flickr, previously owned by Yahoo and then Verizon, should breathe new life into the photo sharing and storage pioneer.
