Bronx 5th Alarm 05/02/13 - Guest - 05-02-2013 Around 0615 hours FDNY was dispatched to the area of East 226 Street and White Plains Road for a fire in a garage. The fire spread to exposure 3, a 2 story commercial building. It ended up going to 5 alarms, and caused the shut down of the #2 and #5 subway between Gun Hill Road and 241 St during rush hour. The subway in this area is elevated, and was right in front of the fire buildings. I got there about 2 hours into the operation.
