Here are a few more recent photos. Wish this rain would soon go away. It has been a very slow year.

You all and your sun <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' /> We've had like a day of sun seemingly all year! I'll have to blow the cobwebs off my camera, if it doesn't float away!

Thanks Bus. I sure hope the weather clears off by morning.

Kent, It hasn't been as good as it looks. Only a few days here and there.

Got out today for a little bit. Was very hazy, and clouds rolled in quickly this afternoon. Managed to get a couple.

Made my first ever photo trip to Jersey on Thursday. Thanks to Adam Alberti and Tommy Finnegan for showing myself and Jason Coleman-Cobb around. We photographed 4 Stations, before eventually coming back into PA to finish the day. Here are my two favorites.

District of Columbia Fire Department has recently taken delivery of 4 Seagrave Marauder II TDA aerials. 2 of the units (Truck 10, and 17) are completely new units, while the other 2 (Truck 11, and Truck 12) are New Tractors with rebuilt trailers. Currently Truck 10, and 17 are in service and were able to be photographed. Truck 11, and 12 will follow shortly. Final Station customization has not been completed. The guys at Truck 17, said they have a custom decal as well as a custom ladder board that will be arriving soon.

Shoop,

Have you heard the reason for "regular-style" Budds on the Front steer axle & Hi-Flotation(Super-Single) on the rear steer axle? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Unsure' /> Just seems a bit strange.

Pure speculation here, but most likely for the turning radius benefits. Those appear to be 385 wheels, which in the right configuration, can be used on up to a 21,500 lb front axle, and can still provide a 50-degree cramp angle on some manufacturer's applications. Looks like the standard-size 425 wheels on the trailer, which aren't quite the same as a true super-single wheel.
