Nice rig, even though it's a 1970 Seagrave. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Note: This truck was one of three built on the wide cab chassis, with at 75ft Telesqurt boom. The truck was sold at auction around 2003 and bounced around a couple used truck dealers before disappearing a few years back. The current location of this truck in unknown.

This is the 3rd for three built. My apologies for the poor quality photo. This photo was sent to me about a year ago, and there are not many/any good photos out there of this truck.

1971 Crown 50ft Snorkel

Sold To: LAFD

Current: Collector Owned

Note: Was rebuilt by LAFD shops into a triple combination pumper in the early 90's. As a Snorkel it was part of what LAFD considered a Heavy Duty Task Force at the time.

How many of these 50ft. Crowns did LAFD have. If I remember right This was the same second rig that was run in the short lived "Code Red" TV show. That was a really bad show, couldn't hold a candle to Emergency.

Andy, The Crown you are referring to was actually a 50ft Snorkel on Code Red. They had [2] of them and they ran a Wagons in a heavy duty task force. They only had a couple of the 50ft telesqurts as well. Agreed, Code Red could never hold a candle to Emergency!
