That's it. Somehow I lost some pictures. There was a Telesqurt and a skyboom but my camera didn't take the pics.

Great pictures Frank. The Crown looks great. You're right, that PT Cruiser is cool, especially with that beacon ray light on top...almost looks like a cop car out of the 40s or 50s...

Take care, John H.

Thanks John

The officer I talked to loves the car, and it's design, hates doing traffic duty, but the car is definitely an eye catcher, I agree, the light on the top makes the car. I still need to get pics of the ladder trucks.

She looks great Frank. Unfortunately, due to some poor scheduling ours didn't get out too much this summer. Hoping it sees the light of day a bit more often next season.

Marc, sorry to hear about that, you did post some nice pics of your Crown. Love the shots indoor. I have a chance in a couple of weeks to do an indoor car show event. I'm thinking about it. Would be nice to get some shots inside of the Squrt.

Found one more of that great PT Cruiser Largo PD unit, front view. The grille, top inside windshield, light up blue and red, should have taken a night time time. From the front that Beacon Ray looks even cooler !!!!

** A sad chapter to the life of Truck 7171 occurred today as it was sold to a collector in Las Vegas. Sad because I will miss her, good because she will remain in good hands of someone who appreciates fire trucks as much I do. It was necessary for a couple of reasons and it does not mean that I won't ever get a fire truck down the road, just that I needed to take some time off from the hobby and regroup. My first thought if the day comes to get back into the hobby will always be a Crown Firecoach !!! **

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. If any of you see Truck 7171 on the road, be driven from Florida to Las Vegas, take a pic

Talk to all of you later.

I'm sorry to hear about that, Frank. I know all you ever wanted to own was a Crown TeleSqurt. I'm happy, however, to hear that another collector has purchased it. Do you know where exactly in Las Vegas its new home will be? Mario travels to Las Vegas monthly for work; he might see it sometime (or we might, if I ever have enough time away from work to travel with him again!).

I have no doubt that you'll be back in the hobby as soon as you're able. I took a break from owning my own Fire Engine for a couple of years, too. Of course, that changed in the Fall of 2002 when a 1955 American LaFrance 700 Series caught my attention, which, as is expected at our household, caught my Dad's attention since I didn't stop talking about it until I was driving it down the Interstate with its title in hand!

Frank

Sorry to hear the sad news. Why did you not e-mail me - Oh Well. Can you get some parting shots for us. Maybe you also can get the new owner to join here and KEEP THE THREAD ALIVE. Also remember that all things happen for a reason and a better one will also come again soon. Keep up the good work and anything I can do to help let me know. In addition you are more then welcome to come up NORTH and help me out anytime.

Frank:

I am stunned to learn of the Crown's sale. I am unsure of all of the particulars, but I am sure that there is solid reasoning behind this.

I will certainly miss all of your trials and tribulations with this classic apparatus.

I feel that sooner or later, you will once again be keeping us apprised of a new apparatus purchase.
