keep them coming gang,its amazing to see what used to be around out there. imagine trying to get through the city with the little to none warning devices they have today.some of them were retrofitted with a single strobe that many used on a rear corner

GREAT PICS!!!! The only rig that i remember is the 1973 Mack Rescue. I remember seeing it years ago at one of the first Firehouse expos, circa 1984.

The first (and third) ambulances you posted could be either 1971 or 1972 Chevys. You can see the total 1973 redesign on the second one. Keep them coming.

hungrybus - I'm glad you enjoyed them. If Duane had been there just one year later, think of all the old Macks, Seagraves, ALF's and Wards that would have been gone after the 18 new 1974 Seagrave engines arrived. Baltimore certainly had a lot of interesting apparatus in 1973.

In looking through the back of Duane's pocket notebook from his trip (Pocket Notebook #8), I found the rundown of apparatus at the four-alarm fire in Baltimore. While he doesn't list the address, here's what Duane wrote down for BFD response:
1st Alarm- E6, E9, E34, T1, T5, BC2
2nd Alarm- E24, E32, E23, T16, R1, HiX-1, MHU, AC, BC5, D2, Box 414
3rd Alarm- E2, E10, E3
4th Alarm- E7, E19, E27, T2
