Jack,

They were from awhile ago, I am planning a firematic photo trip just before the show, then round it out with a photoshoot at the show.

Anyway, thanks for the compliment. Stay safe!

The problem will be Station 17 is only a two bay station with an Engine, Tower, (2) Medics, a Brush Unit, an EMS District Lt., a Battalion Chief, and (2) Zodiac boats assigned to them. Add this beast I am sure will just add to the head ache. They are adding a third bay to station, but don't think work is completed or started yet.

What happened to the Spartan Tractor that was supposed to pull the USAR Trailer?, last year when I was at 17 one of the guys showed me a set of blueprints of the new unit with a Spartan not a Freightliner tractor.

Baltimore County MD - hp1530 - 02-08-2007

The tractor/trailer rig is monstrous! Looks great.

It boils down to the all mighty dollar. Fireghtliner or as we like to call them junk wagons were cheaper then the Spartan and also probably availibility played into it as well. If you notice that all of our special rigs ie SU 57 Foam 14 are Frieghtliners. I would imagine that the new Haz-Mat when ever we order that will have a Frieghtliner chasis.

Engine 12 is one of the better ones. Our wagon Engine 13 is on its third motor and about 4th turbo charger. According to our brainiac mechanics the turbo chragers were faughty. Junk wagon is the clean word to say about them. They are a real treat to drive. You take off from a redlight with pedal to the floor and the thing takes off like it is pulling a house behind it. It makes it hard going on runs with it because when you come to a stop at a redlight it takes fore ever to build back up to speed. Thank God we are buying custom wagons again.
