I asked quite a while ago and no-one knew, but I will ask again if anyone knows where the 1964 Mack Snorkel with Pierce body from Glen Ellyn Il ended up?

Trying something a little different on the resizing. This one is for npfd801. This was shot at Monroe Fire School in 1992. A 1991 Spartan/Alexis with a 1250 pump and 1000 tank. Serial#1485

I'm going to tear up! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> This one will be down the road in a couple of weeks to a new home at a department in Iowa.

I cut my teeth on this rig, and it only recently went into reserve status. It's twin will go into reserve service when the new engine arrives, and this unit will depart. It also carried one of my best friends to his final resting place as well. It holds a lot of meaning to me.

I suppose that I should change my screen name to npfd802, as that's my station's engine now. My office is at the station that will get the new 801, so I'm there enough that I'll be sure to drive it or sit in the right seat often enough.

North Park, Where in Iowa is this rig going?????

Illinois - npfd801 - 08-07-2006

You know, I met a bunch of their guys when they came to look at the truck - and I can't recall for the life of me where in Iowa they're from. I'll try to find out tonight at training.

Since I had the time to find the info on this rig, I have production numbers, etc.

This is our engine 805, a 1997 Spartan-Alexis. 1250 Hale pump, 1000 gallons water, no foam. It does carry a cutter and spreader set, as well as air tools, but our heavier extrication equipment is on our squad.

Serial #1628, completed in August of 1997.

Nosing through the other tags, I was surprised to see Spartan's cabs were once constructed by TCM. Anyone know when the switch was made to Marion?

In about a month, this will be our oldest front line fire apparatus on the department.

Illinois - npfd801 - 08-11-2006

I have a few more pictures to post, most from the Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle show.

I didn't grab any info, as everything I took was during a quick break from working while I grabbed some lunch.

This is North Aurora's E503, a Pierce Dash. Sorry, no other info.

Illinois - npfd801 - 08-11-2006

Southern Kane County Training Association had this rig lettered for their organization, which looked to be an old Pemfab cab with E\-One body. I certainly don't know for sure.

I can only assume this rig once belonged to one of the member departments, but I don't know.
