Finally, something to photograph in spring 2010!! Thanks for posting. I'm glad to see that Truck 2 is finally getting a new rig. Any idea when it will be in, and if there is anything else being built?

Truck 8 is identical (and sitting right next to it) I will post more pics tomorrow. And I am not sure when it will be in, but it shouldn't be too long (maybe a matter of a couple of weeks)

Patrick, there are 30 some pumpers in Montgomery County, new Pierces in Arlington, and by May there will be new engines in Fairfax County and a Tower at Dulles, lots of stuff in the burbs to photog.

Thanks for the info. I knew about the stuff you listed, but I am a big Seagrave fan, and love the rigs that DC runs. I am going to try and work Arlington, and DC together in the spring. I'm still not caught up with the older stuff in FFX. lol.

Other than the lack of Roto-Rays, what would you do differently? Curious what the end-users have to say over the rigs...

Hey maybe Cosgrove can shed some light on this, or it just a "jump ball" post. When does DCFD usually have the auction for surplus trucks?. I have a few lower run departments locally hurting for newer rigs and figured what the hell, doesnt hurt to ask.

Y0u would not want one of ours after we are done with it , it's pretty well worn out. Now on the other hand Montgomery County Md is auctioning off a lot of Seagraves on Govdeals.com
Some are in great condition.
