Relics - Guest - 04-13-2009 At about the same time and place as post #2021, I believe this was DCFD's 1966 Ford N/Bruco which served last as part of the Haz-mat unit? The buzzards are just starting to peck at this rig! J.Floyd photo, Jenkins collection Relics - EMS 12 - 04-13-2009 Doc, Did 27 Morningside have a rig similar to Rescue/Squad 47? I see a lot of these truck dealers/scrappers do this. They get the truck for virtually nothing, then mark up the price to something crazy, all the while the truck is rotting away. There's a guy in Louisianna who does the same thing. Has a bunch of nice trucks, they've been sitting for almost 10 years now, and he won't budge on the price. Unfortunate for those of us interested in restoring these beauties. I haven't heard back from my friend about it yet. Thanks. John, I don't think that would be a problem. They probably still have the bulldog that was originally on the Dodge somewhere in the firehouse. Matt Relics - Guest - 04-21-2009 Relics - Guest - 04-22-2009 I found this old girl sitting in a field just up the road from the Alva Florida fire station. I could not get any closer due to a couple of dogs and lots of fences so these were taken with a telephoto lens. Does anyone have any idea about who may have been the builder?
