(Bored yet?)
Back in the summer of '99, I was working on the side with my father and came across this rig in a junkyard on Rt. 309, just south of Bethlehem, PA. It was sitting right alongside the road. Didn't have any company markings but I got a close enough look to see the MT-8204D. She was in pretty rough shape to say the least. The first '95 footers were 1985 models and were assigned to TL's 12 & 172. I thought I had read somewhere that they remove the escape ladder to fit in quarters and that TL relocators and TL spares will not fit in Ladder 12's quarters. Also do you have any C model towers to post or a shot of TL171? F.D.N.Y. - smketrfdny - 07-11-2009
J. The stars are a give away, but if you look closely at the grill of this rig, you can see where the "88" used to be. As per E88/L38's 100th Anniversary Centennial book, this rig was a 1975 Mack FDNY reg# 7510, Received on Sept. 29, 1975. It is now in service in Puerto Rico.
Any idea where in Puerto Rico?
