State Of Conneticut - kieferfire - 11-10-2011 Rescue 220 in Monroe was a 1986 Ford C 8000 with bodywork from Eastern Rescue. Mark A.Redman photo - Juergen Kiefer collection. State Of Conneticut - kieferfire - 11-10-2011 Finally for today, Rescue 3 in Milford once operated this 1969 Ford C with bodywork from Gerstenslager. 250 gpm/ 200 water. Mark A.Redman photo - Juergen Kiefer collection. State Of Conneticut - Guest - 11-14-2011
Truck 19 from the Storm Engine Co in Derby was a 1992 GMC TopKick with bodywork from E.One. It is equipped with 320 gallons of foam. Mark A.Redman photo - Juergen Kiefer collection.
This is still in service and goes by Haz-Mat 19 now. Alan, are they calling it HazMat 1 or 2 now? I hear that sometimes on the air. I beleive HazMat 2 is the prime mover correct? Other updates and information STILL IN SERVICE: Colchester-Hayward rescue, Noroton rescue is now painted black over red, Noroton Heights rescue, Clinton Rescue, Center Groton rescue, Belltown Rescue, Jewett City rescue, both Ansonia Rescue units in service though Rescue 2 is back-lined with specialized equipment (the FD is now primary extrication unit with rescue equipment on Squad 9 [Webster Hose] and Engine 4 [Charters Hose]. ARMS still performs some specialized rescue services). Roxbury's "Engine 9" is a rescue truck (I think they utilized the Mack R chassis from one of their old pumpers, not sure though) New Haven Tactical Unit was the Haz-Mat rig then a spare piece. I believe it is now being utilized as the Mask Air unit. Greenwich Rescue 5 pictured I believe is the technical rescue rig for Sound Beach with the front line rescue being replaced with a newer Pierce. Hartford Tac-1 went on to later serve as Rescue 9 in Waterbury. Truck is completely out of service and unknown where it is now. It was constructed out of a Hartford spare pumper and in-house body work if memory serves me correctly. State Of Conneticut - Dfd3037 - 11-14-2011 Joe 19 now runs as hazmat 1 with the prime mover as hazmat 2 State Of Conneticut - chris7119 - 11-29-2011 Flanders Fire Department East Lyme Connecticut I believe it's a 2009 Ferrara Heavy Rescue State Of Conneticut - 129k - 11-29-2011 Awesome State Of Conneticut - ffemtwakeman - 11-29-2011 [quote name='Lt. It's in Hotchkiss' colors but has the Roman numerals like East End.. State Of Conneticut - Dfd3037 - 06-15-2012 East end is running it. We decided to leave it white and just stripe it. State Of Conneticut - Guest - 07-02-2012 I am told this Maxim once served Niantic. It is privately owned with RI plates, and "Mabelville" is the name of the owners daughter. If anyone has anything on it please share: State Of Conneticut - tntway - 07-03-2012 here ya go Nick...you be the judge...... http://www.firenews.org/ct/EastLymeCTB12-2012.jpg State Of Conneticut - Guest - 07-03-2012 Thanks Tim. I was looking at that last night it's a close call. State Of Conneticut - Guest - 07-06-2012 Tim, it is not. Niantic old B-12 did not have the arrow turn signals on the front. Niantic's only had the round upper lights, outers were the turns, inner were the red warning flashers. Niantic's only had the round upper lights, outers were the turns, inner were the red warning flashers.
OK, no idea at all about this particular piece, however notice that the Guide arrow turn signal housings are chrome or polished. Maxim typically made these inhouse and they would have been painted body color, just like the headlight and warning light housings are here. Just a thought, the shiny ones may have been added, Cast Products made a number of different styles for this light over the years. The piece has obviously been lightly refurbed judging by the extra aluminum diamond plate covering all of the popular rust/rot areas on the cab. Food for thought, just my 2 cents.
