Thanks doc. And yes it is hard to believe they were the oldest rigs there. I ran my first fire on E 2-2 and have ran a lot fires on it before the new Sutphen was purchased. I love that rig and it is my favorite one to drive as well. Although it has been a while since I ran a call with them.

Recently I have been able to scan in some old pictures from the Woodlawn VFC of Baltimore Co, MD. Original photographer unknown. This was Woodlawn's first motorized truck. I was "homemade" by placing the pump from their original CD trailer onto a truck chasis. Make of truck unknown. Circa 1945.

Great old photos. According to the Gary Frederick book, this was a 1932 International with the CIvil Defense pump.

This is believed to be another "homemade" pumper used by Woodlawn VFC. It is a 1940s International with unknown body work. It is believed that this rig used the same CD pump removed from the first homemade rig used by Woodlawn. Picture noted on the back that it was taken at the Savage, MD parade, June 1953. Original photographer unknown.
