I did not check to see if it had dual siren modules in the cab. The word is that a Q is to be added.

Perhaps they wanted "Surround Sound" or that 1970's "Quadophonic" sound.

You didn't get nabbed for speeding, did you? Back when I lived in the area (1979-1981) Nolanville had quite the reputation as a speed trap. As far as the rig goes (info from NFD website), it's a 1969 Kaiser M-800 Series 6x6 and was built by the Texas Forest Service. They usually outfit these with a 125-250 GPM pump and the tank holds 970 gallons.

Thanks for the info. I didn't even think to look for a Nolanville website. I am getting lazy with posting details.

LOL, no......although when I used to work for Scott & White EMS out at Medic 25 (Nolanville), everyone used to tell me the same thing about the speed trap...but apparently, they got into some trouble a few years back and now are much more laid back with speeding.

I don't know if anyone in Texas would have any pictures or info on this truck. The Pierce Dealer, Martin Apparatus has our old 1961 Mack C-85 and converted it into a BBQ Pit Wagon. I looking to find what Fire Department owned the truck before Martin Apparatus bought it. Also if there are any photo's of the Mack while in service. When we sold it back in 1984, we know it went to Texas and still had the Indian Head on the doors. Any info would be appreciated as we will be celebrating our 75th Anniversary next year and need to update our apparatus history.

LHFD,

I have a few of pics of the truck. I will try and post tomorrow night when I get home. The pics are from a cook off in which he allowed me to borrow the Mack.
