Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 11-13-2007

Well, I care because it is so odd. I am also interested in Mass police cars with red in the front.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - yelrowekim - 11-13-2007

I don't mean to start a war but could someone explain what the big deal about Fire trucks having Blue lights/Cruisers having red ones? Other than Tradition

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - edburke - 11-14-2007

Because it's illegal in most cases.

Thanks Ed

I took this photo back in 2003. Does anyone know how Woburn, MA used this Dodge/Pierce Mini-Attack, and why it was lime?

Looks like it could be an old military piece.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 11-14-2007

Tac, some of us have been looking for this piece so thanks. It was as I recall used by the Battalion Chief. t may have also been a brush truck.

It is lime because that is the best and most visible color to paint a fire truck. It is why lime is prime all the time. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Tac, I would send that pic to John Galla at Firenews.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - yelrowekim - 11-14-2007

Ed...

Just read Chapter 90.... Doesn't mention hearses... or funeral home director’s … Have you noticed how many of them have strobes now …. The one on Centre St in West Roxbury has more lights in there grills than a BPD traffic enforcement car…

Can we start a new topic..... "Hearses with forward facing flashing, rotating or oscillating lights"...???

No...OK I'll stop now...

LOL! Chapter 90, or any of the MGLs for that matter, will make your head spin.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 11-14-2007

What color lights does the funeral director's car have?

I know for a time the Commonwealth MEs had blue lights then I think they went to yellow.

In Va they have (get this) PURPLE. I have not seen this myself but others on this list have.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - yelrowekim - 11-14-2007

"First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." Amen

And Now For Something Completely Different....
