Illinois - karl4700 - 03-07-2010 University Park Truck Co. 75 w/ the newer black over red colors. Illinois - MFD76 - 03-07-2010
I was out photographing firehouses the other day and came upon the fleet outside of the University Park station 1. Engine Co. 76 w/ an unusual yellow/white/black color scheme
I thought at one time they were Black over Lime. Interesting Black-White-Lime. Thanks for posting love seeing the rigs around the windy city. Stay Safe Brother, Rick Illinois - karl4700 - 03-07-2010 Hinsdale used to run black over yellow until they got their new "truck" thats black over red. Illinois - Guest - 03-08-2010 Carol Stream also was black over yellow. Illinois - karl4700 - 03-13-2010 MABAS Div. 3 Air Support Illinois - Guest - 03-13-2010
Just one more...this rig is beyond huge
Rosemont has a matching quantum tower. I installed the computers in the cabs. Illinois - photog999 - 03-15-2010 Here are a few experiments from my attempts at scanning my slides with my new scanner. I may have posted this before but I still think this is such a unique rig it bears reposting even tho the shot is not the best. This is one of I believe 3 snorkels built by Seagrave. This is Melrose Park Snorkel 705. This is one of the few times I ever saw it on a call and I never did witness it working. I shot this sometime in 1982 according to the process date on the slide. |
