From what we were told was that the contender is really developed to be one length and is designed to usually be no more then a 1,000 gallon tank but being we were replacing a truck that was a 1,500 gallon tank this is what we got. The ladder rack is also another problem as when it comes down it comes out almost 6-7 feet from the side of the truck. Not very user friendly at all and very underpowered New York State - pepe - 06-17-2010 Scotia Fire Department Tower 204 2010 Sutphen Model SP95 Tower. j/n=HS4755.. 1500 Hale Q-Max/300/0 New York State - pepe - 06-17-2010 Scotia Fire Department, Soon to be Ex-Tower 204 1983 Sutphen s/n=49317.. 1500 Hale/300/0/100' New York State - pepe - 06-17-2010 Fort Johnson Fire Company, Schenectady County - Tower 6 1991 E\-One Hurricane s/n=9019... 1500 Hale/250/0/95'.. Possibly Ex-South Spring Valley? New York State - Guest - 06-20-2010 It is ex-South Spring Valley (Dept. 25 in Rockland County). Now privately owned, if not mistaken. New York State - Guest - 06-21-2010 Looks like a NJ state plate on the front.
Yes it does. And those traffic light arms are common in New Jersey but in most of upstate NY I've usually seen the lights just hung from cables. BTW, I wonder where that pic was taken because I'm quite sure that's not East Branch in Delaware County, a very small place on the Delaware River's East Branch and just off NY 17 / Future I-86. New York State - Guest - 06-21-2010 Probably Allendale's 100th Anniversary parade, Rich. That rig was in it, near the end.
