starting on left 1400' 5 " with hydrasist valve, 1100' 3" with humat valve ,200" 3" preconnected to tail gun, 150' 21/2 preconnected line, accross is 25 ft 5"

That's nice rig and hose bed set-up you have there... Are you allowed to use it on fire calls?

Very nice Ward... You have it outfitted very well...
Our dept had old Ward that was in front line service 25+ years until it was replaced and later sold to one local VFD... It life came to end in a fire at their station... It was cover-up for some A--hole break in and stealing stuff...

Awesome bed. These Guys seem to get it. Split 5" beds, minuteman loads, including the deluge gun. These lines are packed to work. Very nice.

Can anyone speak for Austins beds? It looks like they have 3 layout beds (split beds of 3 and a single bed of 5). Can they can drop dual 3's, single 3 or single 5 or other various combinations, and whats the basis of the beds being set up this way?

Yes they can lay out single 3", dual 3", and single 5". They use rubber jacket 3" and 5" LDH, both with Storz couplings, good hose easy to work with. One of the things I belive that they due on residential structure fires is run dual 3" lines between the 1st and 2nd due giving them minimum 1000 gallons for initial attack. Plug is typically tapped by the 3rd or 4th due engine. As for the trailer hitches, they dont typically pull anything but I believe it is intended for the zodiacs that we have a number of since most do not have dedicated vehicles to pull them.

The replacement engine currently being spec'd for E1 will have an additional divider for a preconnected blitzfire.

From the yellow hose back:
Yellow 1 3/4 - 400'
Middle - 1" -500' or 600' depending on jurisdiction
White striped 1.5" - 400'
I have no idea about the green hose, I haven't seen it till now.
