1952 Ford/Spencer Shops

This pumper was built in the Southern Railroad shops at Spencer, NC. I phorographed this one and the one from Franklin several years back. I believe Rockwell Rural aso had a Spencer Shops rig.

We had one similar to that at RRVFD, I don't have any specs on it. I'll get some old pics of it on here.

The engine Rockwell Rural has was very similar to these, but it was a Howe, 1955 I believe. I am gonna work on getting a pic of it scanned.

Good stuff Lt. Chris!! Do you have a shot of East Spencer's tower by chance or know if they still have it? I heard there was some controversy behind the purchase of it.
