Factory photo of 1 of RVFD's 1966 Mack B-models that were of a different body style than the previous deliveries. They were 750/500 and most lasted into the 1980's. Perhaps Cosgrove has some stories of riding tailboard on these... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

Dr. Stinebaugh:

Are any of these classic Macks still in the area-either department owned or privately owned?

Thanks,

Sandy Spring still has the 54, and Rockville still has the 63 with the Rockville cab.
Tillerman,

Congrats on the new engines and try to remain optimistic!!! I have 2 questions, why did they spend the money on the 2 arrowsticks on the sides and not put one on the rear and do you have any shots of inside the cab?
Arrowsticks on the rear only work if they are not obstructed by hose, tools, flags, etc. I can't count how many times I see an arrowstick blocked by something in use.
Thats kind of a shame....I was hoping the county would do the station colors to keep some tradition alive. Ah well, guess its only a color.
The county specs do call for the LFRD patch to be on the apparatus doors.
