I have plenty more, I hope you all do too! Some of these were taken 10-20 years ago and I don't have all the info on them. Any help will be great. Maybe Howie has a Maxim number for it? I do know that Warren bought it new. Ward LaFrance Ultravision - GA_Dave - 07-15-2006 Engine 283, Lawrence Park, PA Ambassador 1000/500 Retired This may be a P85, not a P80. I recall there being a full walkway between the cab and pump panel, which leaves no room or the motor housing of the P80. Compare this with the next rig I post. The list shows #85-53 delivered to Erie, PA in 1975. Lawrence Park adjoins the City of Erie. Top-mounts were rare from Ward LaFrance! Ward LaFrance Ultravision - GA_Dave - 07-15-2006 Engine 2, Hibernia Fire Company #2, Lamertville, NJ 1977 Ambassador 1250/750 #80-1381 This top mount has a full walkway behind the motor housing, putting more distance between the cab and the pump panel. Ward LaFrance Ultravision - GA_Dave - 07-15-2006 Engine 91, New Buffalo, PA 1973 Ambassador 1000/600 #80-899 x-Norwood, PA Boston had some, Anne Arundel County, MD did too, even Detroit had one, but sedan cab Ambassadors are rare! This is the only one I've ever photographed. Ward LaFrance Ultravision - GA_Dave - 07-15-2006 Engine 21, Kearsarge, PA Ambassador 1500/500 Retired The list shows six deliveries for Erie, PA. I don't think Erie had six, although they had some. The list doesn't show any deliveries for Kearsarge, West Ridge, or Lawrence Park, but they all had them. If anyone can sort this out, please jump in! Ward LaFrance Ultravision - GA_Dave - 07-15-2006 Engine 58-4, Scottdale, PA Ambassador 1000/500 The list shows two rigs for Scottdale, 80-701, delivered 9/20/72 and 80-810, delivered 4/2/73. Anyone know which one this is and what the other one was? This will conclude my posts until I return from Roadtrip 2006 in August. If our paths should cross, I hope we recognize each other! Upon my return, I will pick up where I left off, unless you folks have posted them all. I thank all of you for your help on this, the database is growing nicely. |
