Minnesota Apparatus - Guest - 10-31-2006
The cover is a winter cover. I have to remember to photgraph the rigs without graphics, because I wouldn't want Ronnie to not be able to see the beauty of the truck.........
John, I detect a wee bit of sarcasm in the above posts! The photos are excellent and I do appreciate the beauty of the apparatus which makes me cringe when I see the cartoon looking graphics on them. Call me old-fashioned, but I still enjoy the "refined" look of the St. Paul tower, the Maple Plain rig, and the Coon Rapids tower. Just my two cents... that plus an additional 73 cents will get you a cup of coffee and good conversation at your local convenience store. Minnesota Apparatus - usonian55077 - 10-31-2006 I think what he's finding objectionable is the Grafix Shoppe graphics which are extremely popular here in the north country (since they're based in Eagan, MN). Better not post any photos of any Minnesota police cars, since 90% of them have Grafix Shoppe markings! I didn't realize that Plano (the northern border city of Dallas) utilized their graphics. They are a bit more subdued than some of the other graphics, however. I love the apparatus... NOT the graphics! Minnesota Apparatus - GA_Dave - 10-31-2006 THANKS! for the link to the Grafix Shoppe! I've been looking for more info on their stuff. We will be speccing ut several rigs soon and are seriously looking into using their products! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hail.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Minnesota Apparatus - Guest - 12-01-2006 We are taking advantage of every bit of sun up here, before the snow flys, and I have to head south for the winter. In doing so, they had to reduce the width of the pump panel a bit and move some guages. Minnesota Apparatus - Guest - 02-22-2007 Here are a couple of the first Minnesota New Deliveries for 2007. Paul Barrett and I were able to get a few shots in, before the BIG WINTER STORM OF THE CENTURY, that should be hitting us this weekend. Vadnais Heights, MN will be putting these two into service this weekend. They will be the first out rigs for each station. They have rear mount pumps, with pump panel on the officers side. Prod #2586 Minnesota Apparatus - Guest - 02-22-2007 Although the lettering guy made a small mistake, this unit is E-11 and has the same specs as the previous. Prod# 2587 That's all for now. Minnesota Apparatus - davemcclung - 02-24-2007 The Vadnais Heights rigs arrived just in time for action. Vadnais Heights was toned out for smoke in the area which turned out to be a fully involved 4 car garage fire in the community next door, Gem Lake, which is serviced by White Bear Lake Fire Department. Both new rigs, Vadnais pumper/tanker the old 706 now being called Tanker 6, and Ladder 707 now being called Ladder 1 under the new numbering system. White Bear lake has Engine 5 and a few other on scene I believe. It sounds like both Engine 11 and 21 are pumping. Glad I am not out there in this snow storm. Minnesota Apparatus - Guest - 03-26-2007 We went up to the Spring Lake Park-Blaine- Moundsview Fire Department today, and sot a couple new ones, in addition to several others.
