In 2000 the painted steel elliptical tank was remounted on a used 1988 GMC General chassis. The tank capacity is 3000 gal.

Sorry to see this one is no longer in the fire service. I always like the color!



BTW, this is a M50A3 deuce-and-a-half, not a five ton. Its counterpart is a M49 fuel tanker.

The M-series 5-ton has a much greater distance between the front wheel and the back of the front fender.
