They alway's claimed that there was no room for it in the museum, and that's why it was disposed of.

Engine-207's 1987 Mack/Ward 79 2000gpm pumper #MP-8720

F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-21-2009

Engine-72 (Sat-2) 1979 Mack 2000gpm pumper #MP-7975, E-72 always customized their rigs with ALOT of warning lights, etc.

Engine-159(Sat-5) 1979 rig, #MP-7971 :The older 2000gpm pumpers were identified by the white hosebed covers.

F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-21-2009

Engine-72's 1988 Mack/Ward 79 2000gpm pumper #MP-8819, a common sight at all Bronx/Upper Manhattan multiple alarms, ran into this rig many times while buffing- it was a monster engine !

Engine-72's current rig, a 2000 Seagrave #SP-00024 and Satellite-2's current 2006 wagon

A senior member of 72 Engine was the one who would customize their rigs with all the lights. I believe he did his whole career in 72 and just retired about a year or so ago. Did close to 40 years on the job.
