Keystone State Relics - engine216 - 05-21-2007 Las picture for today. Old Engine 21 1961 C-Model Mack Keystone State Relics - GA_Dave - 05-21-2007 Quote:Old Engine 20 Did this rig later serve Thompsontown? Keystone State Relics - Guest - 05-21-2007 Not to nitpick, but don't any of your photos have photographers names on them ? For example, posts # 2221,2224, and 2226 were taken by either myself, Dave Bowen, Ken Bacon, or John Floyd back in February of 1992. I'm guessing that you bought these at a Harrisburg muster off 1 of us, since 3 of us have sold photos there in past years... just like to see some credit, when and if possible. Warren Jenkins Keystone State Relics - GA_Dave - 05-21-2007 Quote:Did this rig later serve Thompsontown? Curiosity got the best of me, so I dug out the pic and compared them. Here's the Chevy C-65/Hamerly from Thompsontown, the former Engine 82-1. BTW, it's a 1000/500. Is it the same rig? What do you guys think? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Keystone State Relics - Guest - 05-21-2007 I'm pretty sure Thompsontown bought theres new. EMS 12 could tell you for sure. Keystone State Relics - EMS 12 - 05-21-2007 Thompsontown and Summerdale are two different rigs. Keystone State Relics - GA_Dave - 05-21-2007 Thanks to the Shoops for the confirmation. I had pretty-much determined that they were, in fact, two different rigs, but they are very similar. Most of the differences are cosmetic and could have been changed during a refurb, but the biggie was that the Summerdale rig has five-spoked wheels and the Thompsontown rig has six-spoked wheels. Keystone State Relics - engine216 - 05-22-2007 Ok back to Dauphin County for today. Liberty Hose Company No. 1 of Williamstown. Company 24 Old Engine 24 1944 Hahn They still use this as a parade piece. Keystone State Relics - engine216 - 05-22-2007 Old Engine 24-1 1973 Hahn I heard that Les Mclure had bought and that it is stored in the old Riverside Station in Harrisburg City. Picture by Carl "Pete" Moyer Keystone State Relics - engine216 - 05-22-2007 Next is the Halifax and Community Fire Company. They used to be Company 25. In August of 1994 they merged with the Powell's Valley Fire Company to make the current Halifax Fire Department. Old Engine 25 1928 American LaFrance Keystone State Relics - engine216 - 05-22-2007 |
