Reportedly, they are building a new station at Maplewood and Eastern for Engine 2. Rumor is also that Ladder 1 will once again become Ladder 2 and be put in this house as well.

That is 100% true. They found, after buying the rig, that it had extensive rot in many spots throughout the rig. If Im not mistaken, They guys over at Wakefield Sand and Gravel offered to repair the rig at no cost. Because of that, its taking a lot longer because they are only tackling it when they have spare time to do it.

Its been there for a while and I am not sure how much longer it will be there. Next time I see Chief Parr, Ill ask him about it.

E-4 is an E\-One, not sure on the model, it will still have Jaws on it, they will now have 5 sets in the city, Engine 4, Squad 5, Rescue 6, Engine 7 and Ladder 1...as far as Ladder 3, I'm not sure of the whole story, it was running as Ladder 1 I believe and something happened at an incident. If anyone has more info, feel free to post.

We were covering in waltham a couple of weeks ago and they told us that their spare ladder got to close to some power lines which caused an arch through the truck right into the ground (it never touched wires but got with in 10 feet or so). it blew off a compartment door and thank god the guy running the truck was not hurt. i think they said it was gone and not coming back, there was that much damage to it.

Here is the first of my apparatus shots. It is one of 2 new Seagrave pumps in service in Worcester. Engine 13

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 01-26-2008

next one of Worcester's newest aerials. A Smeal tower assigned to Ladder 7 and Ladder 3, a Seagrave refurb. An old Worcester boom placed on new cab and chassis
