Hungrybus 2012 - hungrybus - 10-12-2016 AS far as I know Yes, there keeping both as Reserves Hungrybus 2012 - Engine410kid - 10-19-2016 Quote:Prince Georges Co.,Md. I seem to recall that this was not a 100' tower but some odd height like 85'. Just looked on Atlantic's page and it is an 85' tower no idea why they would go for the 100'. Hungrybus 2012 - e11ramfireman - 10-21-2016 Quote:Shot in the dark, both 85' and 100' are 3 section aerial devices, making the 85' overall shorter when retracted/stowed, you could get a shorter wheelbase and overall shorter rig w/ the 85' than you can on the 100'. Hungrybus 2012 - hungrybus - 10-21-2016 I only go by the Info giving to me. Sorry Hungrybus 2012 - hungrybus - 01-06-2017 Baltimore City Engine 45 Hungrybus 2012 - hungrybus - 01-06-2017 Baltimore City Engine 50 Hungrybus 2012 - hungrybus - 01-06-2017 Baltimore City Truck 5 Hungrybus 2012 - hungrybus - 01-06-2017 Baltimore City Battalion Chief 1 Hungrybus 2012 - FTLAUD - 01-26-2017 Quote:Shot in the dark, both 85' and 100' are 3 section aerial devices, making the 85' overall shorter when retracted/stowed, you could get a shorter wheelbase and overall shorter rig w/ the 85' than you can on the 100'. From what I was told, they wanted this aerial to have the same body and wheelbase and other features as the other recent PGFD Pierce trucks (812, 832, etc), and that required the smaller tower. |
