Mattson Pic <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Scott- Additional info: This 1947 Chev Loadmaster/Howe was originally in service at Stonersville (Berks Co.),PA. Your 1988 photo was taken iat a parade in McAdoo,PA. It was then owned by an individual from the village of Roedersville near Pine Grove (Schuylkill Co.),PA. It was lettered Roedersville No.1 Engine which was a fictitious fire company. Its current whereabouts are unknown. Keystone State Relics - BA000049 - 08-21-2006 Scott, Additional info on the Southern Chester County Rescue rigs: 1990 Ford L8000/Pierce, full cab, custom compartmented non walk-in body with a compressor, cascade, light tower, and a 75 Kw PTO generator. When it was ordered at a cost of $230,000, it was supposed to painted a dark green. Pierce painted it metallic green by mistake. Even though it was the wrong color, the company liked it, and made a deal with Pierce to pay for repainting the 1982 Chevrolet Suburban and 1979 Peterbilt/Swab the same color. It was given to the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company (Chester County) on 4/23/93 when the association disbanded. Never repainted by Po-Mar-Lin. Po-Mar-Lin still has it as of today. 1979 Peterbilt/Swab, full cab, custom enclosed walk-in rescue. It was purchased used in 1990 from the Pikesville Fire Company of Maryland for $84,000. On 12/28/92 during a ice storm, it slid into a telephone pole on Cypress Street in Kennett Square borough and sustained $3,000-4,000 damage to the front bumper and roof lights. Given to the Longwood Fire Company (Chester County) on 4/23/93 when the association disbanded. Longwood had it repainted RW by Swab in September of 1993, model HDR-20, serial no. 4007, delivered 11/80. Sold by Longwood in early 1999 to the Cochranville Fire Company (Chester County) for $8,000, placed into service on 6/14/99. Motor replaced in 2001. Replaced and sold in 2006 to the Cherry Hill Twp. (Indiana County). The A/C and coffin compartments on the roof had to be removed so it would fit in the firehouse at Cherry Hill.
