I have a question I'm hoping someone here might be able to answer. Fairfax City I believe ran a tandem axle foam unit built on a commercial chassis by National Foam that was replaced within the past 2 or 3 years with a Pierce engine. I read somewhere that the old unit was sold to a department in New Jersey somewhere near Cherry Hill. Does anyone know where it went, or are you able to find out? I've always wanted to photograph this unit and hope it is still in service with another department. Thanks in advance!

Nate - Did you by chance shoot the Training Truck 591, ex-Gainesville? Been wanting that one for some time! Also, my last email message to you bounced back. Please recontact me with your email address. Jerry

I have also wanted to get some nice posed shots of this ladder.....not exactly sure where it is kept. The ladder truck was sitting at LSI in Purcellville, Virginia out of service for work. Shows you a lettered version.

WOW! That rig looks a million times better in this color than when it was at Gainesville. I actually like it now!

Thanks for all the great shots fellas.

Yeah but the tip of the ladder gives it away on where it came from <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

From the rear. NICE RIG!

FYI - I was informed by one of the jakes there that the 2nd line over from the left side is affectionately called "The Punk Line" - 400 feet of inch and 3/4 used to "Punk" the rig who arrives before you and perhaps gets a better position in close proximity to the fire building (and since Arlington rigs are usually right on top of one another). Gotta love it!

Take it easy fellas,

Nate

Nate,

Are all the new engines in service? I have been trying to reach you, but email keeps bouncing back.

Jerry

Not all of the engines are in service. I think that 101, 107, and 109 are. Nate will probably know for sure.
