it is unfortunate the old hahn hit a pole while responding, making the piece inoperable due to lots of frame, body ,tank shifting issues. repair estamates exceed vehicle worth

It was then sold to another company. The following picture was taken at the big auto auction from the guy that had a crap load of fire apparatus in Pa. The only thing I can make out on the truck is Tower Hill No. 2, Engine 39.

The truck was sold to a local mulch seller. He took the body off and it is unknown what happened to it. The chassis is now a dump truck and can be seen parked at the mulch business in Dauphin.

Reference the 1948 Columbia Fire Co. #1 Dodge / Oren, pictured on this site and from the Oren book published by Visiting Fireman, Edited by Steve Hagy. This truck might have been titled a 1948, but it's a 1947 (42-47 hard to tell without serial number) Dodge Cab.
