LOL that looks nothing like ladder 1's response area but a nice apparatus though, could have just relocated somewhere.

Might be a restoration or one MADE to look like FDNY the lettering on the nose is kind of big.

IIRC, those ALF's with no doors came out in the 50's.

And those letters on the front are not original.

Still looks nice, though.

its a 56. FDNY was the only department to purchase rigs like these with the vertical windshield. this shot was taken across the street from Malverne, NY's firehouse. it was restored by a group of buffs. its current whereabouts are unknown.

There are those of us who were decidedly "single disipline" oriented, although I enjoyed the other side of the floor MUCH,MUCH better. Maybe my Friend will change his mind in a few years. After all, playing with tools, breaking things and being above the fire brings a certian air of singed hair, burned ears, dragging knuckles and Camels which can't be denied!

If you're comfortable as a Hose Jockey (like my Friend) or a Truckie (like me), you'll get what you need done, done and be happy to make the contribution.

One-One-Oh to Brooklyn K ... that "trip" across the floor was the best move I ever made <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />[/quote]

Apparently alot of people did. I suspected this guy was B.S. a few years ago when he couldn't give me straight answers on basic questions regarding the job (FDNY), or his service time there.

It just p***** me to think about how this guy took advantage of people and used the "JOB" to his advantage. Acts like his hurt the honest buffs out there that we welcome into our firehouses.
