Howie, in your post regarding the Whitman, Mass. Seagrave, it would be a 1942 750 g.p.m, 100 tank; formerly of the National Fireworks Plant in Drinkwater (Hanover) Mass. This was surplussed by them after WWII to Whitman F.D, along with a similar vintage Buffalo engine. This piece is long gone, unfortunately. It was an early quest of mine, but was not to be. If I can figure out this darned pic sizing I will try to post some early Whitman stuff my Dad took in the late 40's and 50's. I have no idea how (or if) it will scan, but I'll give it a shot. Seagrave resto #4 is almost done, will post a thread when it's presentable again. Stay safe, Tom Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 06-30-2008 A couple of oldies: 1937 American LaFrance pumper Gardner, MA Joe Klein photo, H Smith collection |
