There are some very good shots in this thread. So I'm going to add a few of mine to balance it out.

I've been meaning for some time to get the second shot in this post, but never could, due to emotional issues or weather, etc.

The first photo, taken on November 28, 1999, has become one of my most prized photos. I really didn't think anything of it when I took it, but when I found it on a computer that I resurrected in 2002, the value became immeasurable. In October of 2003, it gained even more value to me, as the good friend who was standing 5 feet to my right shooting the same scene on film, passed away. I only wish that I had a better digital camera at the time, as I was shooting with a Sony Mavica FD-95 (which was high end at the time).

Early this morning, 8 years to the day, I shot the scene again. The emptiness in the photo reflects the emptiness in my heart for 42 people that I knew that have passed since then with some connection to the photo. RIP to the 343 + 1, specifically the 40 members of the FDNY, 1 member of the NYPD, and one very good friend that I had personal connections with.
