Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 06-30-2007 Engine 4 Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 07-09-2007 I am looking for shots of the old HUEY's that LACoFD used in the 1970's in the red and white paint scheams. Copter 10, 12 and 14 I think were the main ones but any would be nice! I might try to find some time to swing over to PA and see the LA KME's in production. I like the looks and would love to have one here in NJ as a piggy back order.... Now to convince my FD to go back to ALL RED with yellow stripes.... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 07-09-2007 Engine 5 "The Nickel" Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 07-31-2007 LA County has made the following changes to where certain specialized equipment is now housed Station 129- E129, E329, HM129 Station 130- E130, USAR 130 Station 134- E134, S134, WT134 Station 33- Added the EST from 129's becoming EST 33..... Saw that Engine 33 is now running a 2007 KME rig that replaced a 1998(?) model. Also Engine 191 is operating a KME Emgine that served as Engine 24. Like those Pierce Arrows, but like the Northwoods Inn right next door even better. Been going there since I was a kid, and we hit them every time we're out on vacation. So, they'll be seeing me next week as I'll be in LA from the 4th thru the 13th. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 08-02-2007 USAR 134 now USAR 130 Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Ladder 68 - 08-02-2007 What movements of apparatus have occured within LACoFD? Any idea why the moves? Are they adding additional USAR and/or Haz Mat resources and they needed to balance out coverage with existing units? Thanks. Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 08-02-2007 Not sure as to why they moved so many things around, Now Haz Mat 129 is the newest Haz Mat it's only been in service about a year and they're new rig a KME should be arriving at the shops soon. Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Ladder 68 - 08-02-2007 Are they still using the stepvan that was formerly HM76? Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 08-02-2007
Are they still using the stepvan that was formerly HM76?
I think they are, I know that Haz Mat 129's rig will not be like the current haz mat units it will be a straight axle rig Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Ladder 68 - 08-02-2007 I know that when still at HM130, they were using the step van. I appreciate the great information. Los Angeles County Fire Dept - Guest - 08-03-2007 credit to KME's website... Los Angeles County Fire Dept - marco17 - 08-03-2007 Station 82's 1980 [I think] ALF reserve engine. They may not run this engine anymore as their reserve with the new fleet of KMEs and reserve engines being shuffled around. Los Angeles County Fire Dept - marco17 - 08-03-2007 This Spartan was E170 up until about a year ago. It has since been sold at auction. Los Angeles County Fire Dept - marco17 - 08-03-2007 I believe this is E81's KME. There was no numbering on the doors or truck with the exception of what looked to be hand written 81 in chalk on the number plate. Los Angeles County Fire Dept - marco17 - 08-03-2007 LA County Pierce Arrow from Norwalk sitting around the shops as well. Los Angeles County Fire Dept - marco17 - 08-03-2007 Station 164's new KME being outfitted at the shops. This rig came from the first wave of the new KME pumpers that the county began to recieve about a year ago. |
