It seems like its OOS more often than in service. Does not having a TL have an impact on the DCFD operations? DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 03-05-2011 I'm friends with one of Tower 3's drivers and he told me that rig is BEAT UP. As far as replacing it goes I will defer to the DCFD guys to answer. Old HMU, formerly old RS#1 in stars & bars.
Depends on who you ask, but we went years without any after TW10's Aerialcat fell apart after 9/11. DCFD Photos, old or new - Truckman - 03-05-2011 Nate, another wonderful set of photos you have posted, yet again!! Great work!
ResQguy I am sure you have heard this on thousands of times but urban legand is that DCFD has to have a tower ladder near the WH to rescue the President incase of a fire at the WH. I have seen that in print before many many many many years ago. When I first heard it I thought it was bunk. I'll ask my resident historian Lt J.E. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> And why can't a rescue be effected via a 110 or 135?
