Next is the Union Fire Company of Middletown. Company 56. This company is no longer in service. In 2004 it merged with the other 2 companies in the borough to form the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department.

This truck was destroyed in a wreck on July 26th, 1973 when it wrecked while enroute to a call in Londonderry Township, and killed firefighter Charles "Pete" Waple. I will post pictures of the wreck in the apparatus accidents thread.

Next is the Liberty Fire Company No. 1 of Middltown. Company 57. This company is no longer in service. In 2004 they merged with the 2 other borough fire companies to form the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department.
