Relics - VFN102 - 06-26-2010 This Ward LaFrance is also being stripped and will be sold for scrap. I peeked inside the cab, everything gone including seats. My notes are a little sketchy because no builder plates could be found. Truck 4 1974 Ward LaFrance 100' rearmount ladder ex-Norfolk Naval Base (received a new ladder in 1989) Relics - GA FIREMAN - 06-26-2010 Don't guess you got a photo of the cab, eh? I have a couple of other images of the front somewhere, gotta find them. There were also two other antique rigs there...PTT Relics - Guest - 06-27-2010 Found this relic outside of Greenwood, SC. Fmr HWY 34 FD engine. Relics - Guest - 06-27-2010 Also in same spot was HWY 34 FD light rescue unit. Ex military unit. Relics - Andrew2340 - 06-29-2010 This isn't really a relic (yet), but it's not in service either. It won't fit in their station, so I'm not sure whether it'll ever go in service or not. White Pine, TN "Ladder 1" 1977 Maxim FL (19?? Refurb) 100' Maxim Aerial S/N # VIN-80-1500-M (strange S/N #...) X: Kane, PA "Ladder 59" Andrew Messer Photo (2010) Relics - Guest - 06-29-2010 Andrew, Let me find the info on this one for ya. It was refurbed only a year or two before they got rid of it. Relics - Roto-Ray - 06-29-2010
This isn't really a relic (yet), but it's not in service either. X: Kane, PA "Ladder 59" Andrew Messer Photo (2010)
The rig looks really good ... but poor planning on the purchaser's part, perhaps? (ha, do I get an award to the most P words in a single sentence?) Relics - GA_Dave - 06-29-2010 Quote:ha, do I get an award to the most P words in a single sentence? Possibly! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Relics - Andrew2340 - 06-29-2010 Walk away from a thread and people purposefully use every P word possible in the world, haha. I don't think there was any purchasing involved in White Pine getting that Maxim aerial. I could be 100% wrong, but if I remember correctly, it was donated to them by someone or maybe the Kane FD itself. Not sure what the future entails for this piece. Relics - ACPD227 - 07-02-2010
The rig looks really good ... but poor planning on the purchaser's part, perhaps? (ha, do I get an award to the most P words in a single sentence?)
Looks like the purchaser did'nt use the 6 p's Prior, Planning, Prevents, Piss, Poor, Performance. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Relics - Guest - 07-02-2010 Here is a few pictures for all you Camden buffs and Hahn buffs. Yesterday I whitnessed old Engine 1 a 1986 Hahn get cut up. The scrapper bought the truck from a City auction and payed $1,500 for the truck. When I had got there the truck's back body was off and the cab was destroyed. Relics - Guest - 07-02-2010 #2 Relics - Guest - 07-02-2010 #3 The body in the scrap pile Relics - Guest - 07-02-2010
#3 The body in the scrap pile
Doesnt it make you sick? Hope someone was able to at least get the "hahn" off the front. Relics - theunknowncomic - 07-02-2010 did the 1991 pemfab/alf's get the same fate yet? Relics - Guest - 07-02-2010
did the 1991 pemfab/alf's get the same fate yet?
It's a shame but, yes. Relics - 1958 F.W.D. - 07-03-2010 Joel, do me a favor, next time grab the "H A H N" for me for my truck nameplate collection!!! Thanks!! And yes, this is sad to look at! Relics - Guest - 07-03-2010 Yellow Creek TN had this ALF refurbed by Pierce outside their station. The plate said it was originally Fairfield PA. I have shots of the plates but the contrast isn't that good. I'll see what adjustments I can make on them and post them. Relics - Guest - 07-03-2010 Forgot to attach the image.
