The other side of Ambulance 7...

Here are a few from Chesapeake, Virginia that I took while on my vacation to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

First up is Engine 4

From Station 4 I went to Station 2 to photograph my first Pierce Quantum tiller.

I also had the opportunity to photograph Chesapeake's newer HAZMAT, which was on display at Firehouse in Baltimore this summer.

and the rear of the HAZMAT.

The Quantum replaced this older HAZMAT unit, a 1988 Chevrolet. It was sitting to the rear of the station outside.

Final stop in Chesapeake was Station 7 which has this new 2007 Pierce Quantum 1750/2000/100 with job number 18948.

Chesapeake's Engine 7 crew is working on rehabing an old 1965 Mack C. The Mack C cab is really looking nice and the body is outside awaiting work. Should be a beautiful piece when completed.

Also sitting out back of Station 7 is this piece - anyone have information on this truck?

Thanks,

The engine sitting out back of Station 7 is a old Peter Pirsch the served in Norfolk county prior to the county being annex by Chesapeake in 1963. It's last assignment that I'm aware of was at sta. 10 as a second run engine in the early 70's

Now Jerry you know that I have already photographed their brush truck when it went into service some time ago. But just for the record, it was not at the station when I was there.

I will get a note from the Middleburg FD if you need one <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
