Harvey Engine Co. 3, Pierce Saber rescue/pumer[/quote] WOW thats alot differant truck than ENG 3 the 1951 FWD i have of Harvey Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Here's a couple of my favorite rigs. This one is definitely a classic, Brookfield, IL Engine 316 a 1958 70th Anniversary Seagrave with a 1000 pump and 300 tank. Serial# K-5120 Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Brookfield Snorkel 419, 1968 FWD/Pierce with a 1000 pump and no tank. It has an 85' boom. Serial# R-4410. Both rigs photographed 8/31/1991 Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Here's a few more classic's for the Pirsch fans out there. Villa Park, Il Truck 971 is a 1961 Pirsch with a 750 pump and a 75' MM ladder. Serial# 2521 Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Villa Park Engine 964, a 1974 Pirsch with a 1250 pump and 500 tank. Serial# 3107. Photographed 4/6/1991 Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Also from Villa Park is this 1970 Chevy/Pierce running as Squad 985. They used to do transports to the hospital in this rig! Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Addison, IL Squad 107 is a 1959 Ford/Marion. No other info available. Photographed 4/6/1991 Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Riverside, IL Truck 407 is a 1986 Seagrave with a 1250 pump, 200 tank and 100'RM ladder. Serial# S-75498 Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Kaneville, IL Tanker 1602 is a 1987 Peterbilt/Darley with a 1250 pump and 200 tank. Photographed 3/15/1992 Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Big Rock, IL Engine 1505, a 1975 IH/Darley with a 750 pump and tank. Illinois - Guest - 08-22-2006 Excellant pics of what rigs used to look like. See they weren't all built on a Sinle Cab Chassis like Pierce and E\-One and others do now. The older rigs had a personality that you dont get with the one manufacturer/model fits all mentallity that has overcome the fire service. Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 KFD I agree with you 100%, thats why I like posting the old rigs. The new stuff you can hardly tell apart without a scorecard sometimes. Illinois - photog999 - 08-22-2006 Leyden Fire Prot. Dist (Melrose Park, IL) ran this 1961 Ford/Bean for a number of years. It has a 750 Pump, 250 tank and 65'MM ladder. I believe the ladder is a Grove. Serial# 57-61. Photographed 6/25/1994 |
