Frank, I am at work so I will answer your email and send you all of the full size photos I have of this truck when I get home tomorrow. It was very close to the entrance to Ft. Huachuca AZ, so maybe it was an Army rig in the past. I will make a call and see if I can get the serial number off of it. Rich

J. Kieffer (Sorry for the spelling) posted a photo of the AZ truck in the past. It was recently painted Lime yellow and serving in a volunteer fire co. Also just posted one that is in Service in Kennett Mo! What are the odds?

THE BRUTE! in White and Orange was a RESCUE TRUCK. Lean and MEAN. Had the look of a Bulldog to get the job done.
Someone mentioned DCFD ALL Red with Wide White Stripe... Kind of liked the Stars and Bars of the DC Flag... AND What about the Ford C/E-Ones with that Crew area on the body.... Love that.

Yeah yeah..... we didn't have probies. we had rookies and junior men then.
Rode the Mack/Swab that R-1 had a few times.
I was told by a member of it's design commitee that it was supposed to have been on a Mack R chassis, but the City was offered a substantial discount if they took a MB.

I tried to track down this Hahn Fire Spire during my trip to Arizona this past summer. The department in Nogales was running the rig for a while and then turned it back to the State. Originally delivered to Fort Huachuca, the rig had Hahn serial number HCC-13-81. It would be interesting to see if this is the same unit.

The Stars and Bars sickened me. I thought of the drug addict Mayor Marion Barry every time I saw one.
And those E-1 were junk. Trust me.

Wasn't there something extremely special about this truck? Was it the only ALF rescue of this type or something like that. I know that I have seen a pic of this before, and it seems as though there is a story there somewhere.

If i remember correctly, it was the first and only factory-built 700 series rescue truck. I have a picture of in in a book at home. I'll have to look it up to confirm what made it unique.

I took these this morning at Grand Bay AL VFD Sta #2. They have the only Mack CF-700 Snorkel that I ever saw. and these rigs out back that will be used to recycle into somthing, theese folks even bought an xFDNY Mack CF pumper that they rehabbed and put in service many years ago.

They even got one of the Mobile County commisioners to get them an ex-US Army Amertek 2500L crashtruck. I know for a Fact that they are a ^%$#& to get parts for. most were glider rebuilt by Pierce and E\-One into somthing more usable.
