Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 06-12-2011 Next up, Truck 106 running in a Reserve Truck: Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 06-12-2011 Engine 106: Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 06-12-2011 And a group shot: Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 06-12-2011 And lastly, my unit for the day: Ambulance 102. This unit used to be run by the Arlington-Falls Church Volunteer Rescue Squad as A101. Within the last several years the AFCVRS was absorbed by the Falls Church VFD and this unit was eventually relettered. You may be asking why it is numbered 102 instead of 106. Well, when the unit is put in service, it is almost always run out of Station 2. Station 2 has quarters for the crew to sleep and is more centrally located in Arlington County. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - FfxCo21V - 06-12-2011
Nate, any ideas what the vollies are doing with this unit? Is it going up for sale?
Former R414 is currently for sale. As for a Pierce CF in Fairfax County. I recently overheard a vol dept is looking into the new CF's. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - splinterhead - 06-13-2011
My two cents: To the best of my knowledge, the Pierce CF can only accommodate a medium block engine in that configuration. That said, with the FRD's propensity for spec'ing big block Detroits, I don't see the "CF" coming to the County of anytime soon. Of course, I wouldn't mind being proven wrong on either of my theories.
Well u were kinda wrong about the 111 mirrors to an extent :/ Just saying. But, I still love ya. Don't get mad and tell me I cannot wear a t-shirt anymore.....oh yeah :/ Anyway, just tell em to try at least one Arrow XT out, and skip all the high priced electronics too. Don't forget to bring the rotoray back as well while ur at it. Ur awesome, thanks.
No monitor changes needed - it's white & orange. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - BFD1151 - 06-14-2011 The VA buffs will immediately recognize where this one is from. Chilhowie just recently got into the rescue business and needed a truck to handle the additional duties. Previously the volunteer life saving crew handled the extrications in the town. Chilhowie is planning on re-painting it to their white over orange paint scheme during the next budget year. Chilhowie's Chief David Haynes called me when he was leaving Texas with this rig (where the broker was) to "tease" me that he had one of "my" rigs. I couldn't wait to see it in orange. Alas, the money wasn't there at the time - and apparently still isn't. I'll be headed down to Chilhowie to shoot it once it is. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> Thanks for the pic, Micah!
