Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 07-12-2011
Arlington VA 1941 ALF 85' D Adelman photo
This JOX 4-85 was a 1946. I just found the delivery photos of it being unloaded from a boxcar at the railyard in DC. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 07-12-2011 I was working at the Falls Church station the day the owner of this rig drove up on the front ramp with it. I was the first person he saw and he came over to me and asked if I wanted the fire truck. I thought he was joking so I told him no. He then walked inside and came back out 10 minutes and walked away. One of the Falls Church Volunteers came walking out with a big grin on his face. He told me the guy walked in and handed him the keys and asked for a "donation receipt" then left!!!! FCVFD spent a few dollars fixing the rig up and then turned around and sold it to a couple of Arlington Firefighters for $1,000.00. It is still in their hands and has been re-lettered as ACFD Engine 4. Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 07-14-2011 Not directly related to apparatus but for those of you on Facebook the Manassas Volunteer Fire Company now has a page on there definitely worth following, or "liking". Good stuff. http://www.facebook.com/ManassasFire Nate Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - senatobiafire704 - 07-14-2011
Not directly related to apparatus but for those of you on Facebook the Manassas Volunteer Fire Company now has a page on there definitely worth following, or "liking".
