Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better time, but as you probably were aware, the haze & humidity was pretty damn high for the last 8 days until wednesday the day before we left. I have managed to clean up several shots taken in full sunlight, but they still appear as if it was cloudy. The haze from the humidity made them appear that way.

We stayed in Bridgeville with family. I tried my best to get their KME engine before its replaced this August with an ALF, but didn't make it.

Orig 1982 Pierce Arrow 100-ft platform 1500 gpm pump ONLY no water. Originally Monroeville. job #E-1675
Rehabbed by Pierce with a 4 door cab in 1996 then assigned job #F-3506
Some type of rehab by Bridgeville in 2003 Need the LTI serial number....
Rescue 117 (per the chief)
2003 ALF Metropolitan with 1982 Saulsbury bodywork that was originally mounted on a 1982 Ford Louisville chassis
ALF serial #M26712. Could not located a Saulsbury serial number.. Anyone have it?

One of my goals on this trip (separate from actually being there with my wife and family for a wedding) was to catch some trains in selected areas and various "odd" colored rigs.
While railfanning in the Conway area around the NS yard, I stopped in Ambridge. I wish the timing was better and the chief could have pulled out ALL the rigs including 2 other ALF rigs, but here was the most interesting to me.

Here are 3 from East Carnegie (nothing most of you probably haven't seen). The guys here were among the nicest I came across, even though I didn't have any problems anywhere. I was trying to get their ALF pumper before they get rid of it, but missed it as well. Now I want to find the Corgi model.
1) Engine 256-1 2001 KME 1250/750 GSO 4934
2) Truck 256 2006 KME 1500/500/75ft. GSO6488 (appeared in a KME brochure)

Yep I understand that and if you have read my other posts, I have repeated just about the same thing stating that I have only a few older rigs from this trip, but the other images are new and asked if everyone would want me to post them. So far not one person said anything until now.
I will end the postings and will start a new one asking a moderator to move the "new" current rigs to a new thread or delete them so it can be continued (there is only 3 to move). If not, that will be all for the postings.
Should I put my ARFF images in the ARFF thread, have the Ahrens Fox images moved to the Ahrens Fox thread????

GARDEN CITY
1971 Mack CF, canopy cab, 1250/500. In 1985 it was traded in to the Seagraves dealer (FESCO) in Maryland who in turn sold it to Bellevue (Davidson County), TN.
GLENOLDEN
1958 Seagrave 70th Anniv series, semi-cab, 750/300, $19,000, borough paid for, had compartment forward of the rear wheels, buck-eye rota-ray, replaced in 1975.
1963 Seagrave 70th Anniv series,, semi-cab, 750 gpm, $23,000 which the borough paid for, not identical to the 1958 model, shorter wheelbase, replaced in 1990
RUTLEDGE
1969 Ford C-800/Ward LaFrance, canopy tilt-cab, 750/500, new station had to be built to house this, sold to a dealer in Missouri in 1993.
LENNI HEIGHTS
1937 Dodge/Phila. Fire Truck Works, open cab, 400/300, front mount Barton American pump, built in Roslyn, PA in a facility at Easton and Edge Hill Roads by a man named Hall, in 1959 still in service, by 1985 it was a parade piece still owned by the company.
LANSDOWNE
1954 Mack B-85F, full cab, 750/200, replaced the 1928 Autocar, retained by company as an antique.
1966 Seagrave, K-series, semi-cab, 1000/500, housed 8/26/67. Sold in 1995 for $5,000 to Owings Mill (Baltimore County) MD. who was going to use it as a ladder wagon while their ladder was out being refurbed. By 2005, owned by Edmund Schwartz of Hampstead, MD.
COLLINGDALE #1
1970 Hahn 78, Cincinnati canopy cab, 1000/300, model C-10, 6V71 Detroit diesel, automatic, delivered 3-25-70, housed 9/12/70. Purchased by George Kaiser in 09/03 for $5,001.
FELTONVILLE
1971 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, canopy cab, 1000/500, Waukasa gas motor, 5-speed manual transmission, housed 10/21/72, OOS by 5/2000, sold for $1,100 to the Aston Sign Company of Aston (Delaware County) who mounted a large searchlight in the bed.
BROOKHAVEN
1968 Hahn 78, Cincinnati canopy cab, model C-7, delivered 10/6/68, 1000/500, delivered as a 750 GPM, housed 11/68, rehabed by Hahn in 1983 were the pump was upgraded to a 1000 GPM
BON AIR
1971 American LaFrance Metropolitan, canopy cab, 1250 GPM, delivered 8/71, housed 6/3/72, first unit purchased with the RW paint scheme, front suction. Replaced in 1989 and traded in to the Pierce dealer.
1987 Ford C/Bruco, full cab - body removed from the 1971 chassis by Liberty of Bridgeport, 3205 Cat diesel, 5-speed manual transmission, 18 KW Loadstar PTO generator, eight bottle 3200 lb. cascade, and a 12,000 lb. Warn winch. For sale in late 2002. Finally sold in late 2003 to the Ohiopyle-Stewart VFC (Fayette County). I am looking for a shot of this at Ohiopule-Stewart - anybody got one ?

Since I am not an authority on ALF rigs, while looking up some info in Walt McCall's recent ALF book "100 Years of American LaFrance" low and behold at top of page 110 in the color gallery is a photo of the Williamsport, Pa rig. The proper model ALF is Pioneer II Super Chief Junior Pumper.
I would still be interested in information about Ambridge's x-Farmington ALF served another dept prior to Farmington or if it was new to them.

Dave, the ALF snorkel at Farmington was there less than 10 years, it had been in service for several years prior to our 5/94 visit, and was gone on our next visit there in 1999. It was purchased to serve the new Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and PGA Golf course. The truck was not replaced, and the FVFC purchased a new rescue truck instead.
Bruce, Ohiopyle is a tough shoot, 8 months of tourist congestion a year, apparatus bays facing 2 narrow side streets, little parking space, I personally haven't caught anything there since 1994, not that we haven't tried.

No it was not new to them it was bought used from williamsport as they had two of them.

I believe it went to watsontown fire after williamsport then move along from there but it started in williamsport pa
