The Kempsville Squad is on a Mack MC chassis with a SWAB rescue body. The Kempsville rescue squad and the Plaza rescue squad use the SWAB Wagon company for many years.

Va Beach has a few heavy or medium duty rescues ran by the Vol. Res Squads and that one was fairfly easy to get pulled out because the station usually has someone around.Squad 6 in the Rural Creeds section of the city has a Squad and to this day I cant It pulled out for pics.

Chesapeake E-7 only carries 1750 gallons of water and E-14 and the rest of the PUCs that were purchased with it only have 680 gallon water tanks.

What I think is one of the nicest heavy squads in the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia.

Strasburg is located in Shenandoah County just off of I81.

Squad 51 is a 1992 International S2674 built by Marion. In 2000, LSI did some rehab work which included the addition of a light tower and underneath compartments. Prior to the rehab, it had 3 Mars lights on the front bumper. Afterwards, two. Note also the protection of the Federal Q siren. I also love the lights on the cab roof. Just something about this one.

I caught this while visiting Middletown. Squad 51 came by to fill up the on-board air.

Times have really changed in New Market, Virginia (also Shenadoah County).

This house use to be an all Mack house with engines, truck, and heavy squad.

Only one Mack remains, which is Truck 23.

I have asked both the FF on duty along with whatever rescue squad member is on duty but the Boardman is either oos broke or no one is qualified to move it.Usually the firefighters cant move rescue squad rigs.

I wish I could find the videos on Youtube, but at one time a member of Strasburg had several response videos of this truck going on calls. Somehow they fixed their Federal electronic siren to sound like a Powercall when turned on the Hi-Lo setting. Very neat!
