The sunnier side, the Brunswick fleet was slimed during the 70's.

Brunswick VFD'S 1st aerial truck was this 1960 Pirsch 100' TDA purchased for $100.00 from the Wash.DCFD in 1982 and placed in service in Feb.1983.

Brunswick's 1973 GMC/Oren 750/750, was the 1st slimer. It went to Singer's Glen,VA. about 1989, and got a much nicer paint scheme.

Myersville VFC had this 51 or 52 Ford chassis with a much older 1000 gal. tank from a fuel tanker. This was originally in service in Thurmont, but was sold to Myersville about 1969.

This 1969 Chevy/Oren 250/1000 Tanker replaced the previous rig for Guardian Hose Co. of Thurmont. It lasted until 1985.

Squad 1 in Mt. Airy operated this fine looking 1987 Mack R 685F with Saulsbury bodywork. It was replaced in 2007 by a Pierce rescue and sold to a FD in Virginia.

CORRECTION ON MT. AIRY'S NEW RECUSE WHICH IS NOT A Pierce, THEIR NEW RESCUE IS A SPARTAN CHASSIC AND I THINK ON A E\-One FRAME, BUT IF SOME ONE COULD HELP ME OUT ON THIS IT WOULD BE VERY APPRICATED.

The teeny pic on their website shows a Spartan Gladiator with E\-One body.

Finally, Squad 10 from the Guardian Hose Co in Thurmont was this impressive 1989 Hahn 92 cab and chassis with Saulsbury bodywork. According to their website, it is not longer on the roster. Anybody knows the whereabouts of this beauty ?
