Pierce Apparatus - Guest - 01-06-2007 Hey everyone I just found this pic on another site, was hoping someone had other pics of it and also information regarding year, pump capacity, water tank capacity etc. All I know is that it's a Pierce, I still haven't got good at distinguishing wether it's a Arrow, Dash, etc. Believe the department is Mooresville, N.C. Pic credit to Jayski's - Silly Season Site Pierce Apparatus - A/TCEMSPM - 01-06-2007 The moorseville engine appears to be a saber from mid 90s area corrections welcome. the paint scheme on that is different but I do like how they put that particular 3 in the engine number Pierce Apparatus - Guest - 01-06-2007 The site I found that pic on is a Nascar Site and the way I understand it Mooresville just built a new station 3 and this will be the rig first out of it. At the open house they had a tribute to Dale Earnhardt so I guess the truck and station are in his honor Pierce Apparatus - Guest - 01-06-2007 Lock Haven, PA's beautiful 17 year old Pierce....... Mooresville is known as Race City USA because of its large concentration of NASCAR teams that are headquarted in the city. This truck is the first due engine to DEI Headquarters (Dale Earnhardt Incorporated) which is located on, believe it or not, NC HWY 3 (it was renumbered after Dales death). This is the reason for the Earnhardt style 3 on the truck. Also notice on the upper body of the truck the black E that has the large 3 over top of it. I am not 100% sure but I believe there are two of these Sabers in service in Mooresville. Mooresville, like most of the Charlotte Metro area, is growing at a record pace and has atleast two new stations planned for the near future. One will be covering the new Lowes Home Improvement headquarters. |
