Damn they should advertise that!!! I'm trading all of my rigs in for Seagraves now!!!!!
some millennium falcon shit they got at that factory DCFD Photos, old or new - drfeelgood - 11-26-2012
some millennium falcon shit they got at that factory
Sweet!! Can they build trucks with roll up doors now?? That was the latest excuse for a no bid from them DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 11-26-2012 IMO, roll up doors suck DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 11-27-2012
Sweet!! Can they build trucks with roll up doors now?? That was the latest excuse for a no bid from them
Heck, all we wanted is them to bring us a Meanstick for a demo and between two different sales companies its been a no go. Can't hardly prove to the general membership they are the way to go when they can't even get you a demo. Heck I even had a salesman ask me if I could make contact with a company with one and line it up.......I kinda lost interest at that point. DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 11-27-2012 sounds like there not trying to push the product at all these days DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 11-27-2012
sounds like there not trying to push the product at all these days
From what I have experienced they definitely are not. I know of two companies for sure that already own Seagrave rigs and Seagrave didn't even bid on there latest purchases. A true shame and I wish I knew the reasoning. DCFD Photos, old or new - Frank B - 11-27-2012 Around 2002 the Fd that I run with was looking to get a Seagrave 2000gpm/1000gwt engine. The Seagrave salesman was arguing with the committe about what they needed. We are in a relitively rural area with no hydrants in most of the district thus the 1000gwt. They were so turned off by the salesman that they went with Pierce. we have since ordered a Pumper Rescue and another new engine, all were delivered by Pierce. way to loose a customer! I would have liked to get a Seagrave but what can you do? DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 12-04-2012 One of the DC ALF/LTI tillers made it onto govdeals website. I think it is old Truck 12, but have to confirm tomorrow at home. DCFD Photos, old or new - EngineMan - 12-04-2012
Sweet!! One of our local companies got a Seagrave M-II Rescue Engine with roll ups 3 years ago DCFD Photos, old or new - drfeelgood - 12-04-2012
I hope that was sarcasm lol. I've never seen such a thing... Trav! DCFD Photos, old or new - drfeelgood - 12-04-2012
Just curious - was the Seagrave "No Bid" based on a requirement for a specific manufacturer's roll-up door or were the specs for the roll-up doors generic?
Ok this High-jacked the DCFD thread so this will be the last on this. The "No Bid" was based roll up doors and 8 other things that any manufacture including Seagrave have and continue to do on rigs. I don't think ALF was making that cab in 1993. Deejr |
